Interbuild Hardwax Oil - Clear 100% VOC Free Food Safe Wood Sealer & Stain

This Hardwax Oil was developed by us 10 years ago for use on all our products in the factories where we produce. It has been used on millions of kitchen countertops, wood panels, garden furniture, indoor furniture, decking, and deck tiles, even on products supplied to IXXA and other well-known global retailers. The oil has an outstanding reputation in the markets we have delivered these products to for its exceptional wood-protecting properties and for being approved and tested for contact with foodstuffs, both as per the FDA standard and the German Food & Feed Acts LFGB requirements.

We have now developed a consumer pack version of this product after receiving numerous inquiries from the market. This consumer version has been enhanced to contain ZERO% Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). 100% of the Hardwax Oil consists of different vegetable oils and waxes that have been cooked together at extreme temperatures to form a micro-molecular oil, which penetrates deep into the wood and provides an outstanding hard surface where the waxes form the skin. Due to the solid content with no solvents added, this oil has a very high yield, up to 40 m2 per liter for a single layer, meaning there are no thinners that evaporate into the air.

The Hardwax Oil, available in 8 colors, is ZERO% VOC and Food Safe. It is approved and tested as per international requirements for contact with foodstuffs. A 250ml (8.45 fl oz US) can covers 8-10 m² (86-108 ft²). The high solid content (100% vegetable oils and waxes) with NO Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) results in a high coverage and yield with low evaporation of fumes.

The safety of the oil components is ensured, as these ZERO% VOC Hardwax oils are composed of a mixture of vegetable triglyceride oils, waxes, and different non-hazardous pigments/colorants. There are no solvents, and 100% of the product will stay on the wood surface, with nothing evaporating into the air. The oil accentuates the wood grain texture and has no known significant effects or critical hazards for wood treatment. It is approved for food contact as per US FDA 21 CFR 175.300, and all colorants used are certified non-toxic by EN71-P3 and REACH.

To use the Interbuild Hardwax Oil, the wood surfaces should be properly prepared. For unfinished wood, use #180 and then #240 grit sandpaper, sanding in the same direction as the wood grain. For pre-stained wood, use #400 grit sandpaper. Remove all dust with a tack rag, and a minimum of three coats of the hardwax oil are required for unfinished wood.

When applying the oil, shake the can vigorously, apply at room temperature (20-30°C), and do not thin it. If desired, use additional coats to achieve the desired finish. Apply the first coat evenly with a roller, brush, or cloth rag.
