Interior Wood Finish - 500ml - All Natural & Quick Drying

Our low build, hard wax oil is extremely easy to apply with a cloth, brush, or roller, providing a natural, protective, satin sheen to your wood, unlike traditional high-build varnishes. For best results, a minimum of two coats is advised to achieve a good level of resistance to spills of tea, coffee, wine, and soft drinks.

The production of our hard wax oil does not involve any harmful or hazardous solvents. It offers a scratch and scuff-resistant finish that is perfect for use in high-traffic areas such as kitchen worktops, hallway floors, and dining tables. Worn areas can be easily spot-repaired by lightly sanding the area and applying an additional coat of the hard wax oil.

In our tests, our hard wax oil has proven to be heat-resistant, withstanding the high temperatures associated with hot beverages and plates being placed directly on the surface. Again, we suggest a minimum of two coats for best results.

Since we only use natural plant oils and waxes, our hard wax oil is safe to be applied on wooden surfaces where food is prepared and stored. It has also been certified as slip-resistant, making it suitable for domestic, commercial, and wet areas.

There are no harmful chemicals used in our hard wax oil, making it toy-safe. It is suitable for use on all unfinished wooden surfaces, including doors, floors, dining tables, coffee tables, and kitchen worktops.

Before applying the hard wax oil, ensure the wood surface is smooth, clean, and dry. Use a good-quality, lint-free cloth, brush, or sponge roller to apply the product. For high-traffic areas, such as floors, kitchen worktops, and dining tables, two coats are recommended. Sanding between each coat is not always necessary, but it is advisable for a smoother finish. Rougher surfaces may increase the drying time and require more applications to achieve a smooth finish.

On initial application, if possible, remove the excess hard wax oil with a lint-free cloth as you apply it. This will help reduce the drying time. Unlike traditional varnishes, our hard wax oil is not a viscous coating and will perform much better if applied in multiple thin layers, rather than heavy single applications.

The approximate coverage for a 500ml container of our hard wax oil is 10m2. Our hard wax oil is water-resistant, making it perfect for kitchen worktops, and it is resistant to tea, coffee, wine, and soft drinks. It is also solvent-free, hard-wearing, heat-resistant, food-safe, slip-resistant, and toy-safe.
